.: History :.

Ponce’s opened its doors in September of 1969 by Ponce Sr. In the beginning, the business was known only to the locals of Kensington, but over the years Ponce’s has become a staple eatery in the San Diego area.

With Ponce Sr. retiring in 2002, he passed the torch to 2 of his kids: Ponce Jr. & Rocio. The tradition is carried with the same flavors that has kept Ponce’s going for over 30 years but now with a new ambience and energy.
